Taralli are a typical Apulian specialty with a round shape. Their origin goes to 1400 when in the
peasant families to the scraps of the leftovers of the bread was added extra virgin olive oil and white wine, they created small circles of pasta that were baked. They offered taralli when they were in company as a sign of friendship and cordiality.
The dough is based on flour, yeast, white wine, extra virgin olive oil, salt and enriched with the delicate scent of fennel seed and sesame seed. They are snacks that whet your appetite, excellent dipped in wine, they satisfy the most demanding palates.
